Features Of PP Electroplating Barrel

The process of electroplating a large number of small parts in a rolling container. Applications include steel parts barrel galvanizing, barrel copper plating, barrel plating high tin bronze; copper and copper alloy parts barrel nickel plating, etc. Barrel plating solution and electroplating conditions are basically the same as tank plating, with occasional adjustments based on the material and shape of the plated parts.

Barrel plating is carried out in a drum. The primary difference between barrel plating and small parts rack plating is the use of a roller - a holding device that carries small parts during continuous tumbling. The typical roller is a horizontally placed hexagonal prism with an open side wall for loading parts. The drum wall features numerous small holes for current conduction, solution renewal, and exhaust gas discharge.

Cathode conductive devices in the drum pass through central shaft holes and are fixed on conductive feet of the wall panels. Parts naturally connect to the cathode conductive device by gravity. Many factors including drum structure, size, rotation speed, conduction mode, and opening rate affect production efficiency and coating quality, making the drum a focal point of barrel plating technology research.
